Privacy Policy

LapFoundry is an offline educational game for learning racing technique. Read the corner. Understand the car.

It is not a racing licence, track-day safety certification, or substitute for event rules, marshal signals, qualified in-person instruction, or local law. Do not use the app while driving.

What the app sends

The app does not send the developer your progress, answers, scores, Completion Record, or gameplay activity. It includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, advertising IDs, user accounts, or tracking. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

What stays on your device

• LapFoundry saves your progress, stars, experience points (XP), flashcard results, settings, and the optional name shown on your Completion Record on the device where you use it. The app does not send this information to the developer.
• After a saved Track Day result, the app can keep one driving-practice target on this device so you can return to that corner. It contains observations from the game, not information from a real car. The app does not send it to the developer.
• On an iPhone or iPad, your normal device or iCloud backup may include this saved progress, depending on the backup settings you chose. The developer does not receive or control that backup.
• A backup code is a copy of your progress and optional name. Creating one does not upload it, but anyone who has the code can restore that progress. Unfinished quizzes and the saved Track Day practice target are not included. Keep the code private.
• Deleting the app or clearing its website data removes the copy on that device. An earlier copy may remain in a device backup managed by Apple.

Copying and sharing

• Copy backup code writes the code to your device's clipboard only after you choose that button. LapFoundry does not read your clipboard automatically. Your operating system and other apps may handle clipboard contents under their own privacy terms.
• Save or Share Record creates an image on your device. If sharing is available, LapFoundry opens the device's share sheet. The app does not choose a recipient or upload the image itself. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination; that app or service then handles the image under its own privacy terms.
• Restoring progress requires you to paste a backup code into the app. The code is checked and stored on the device.

Website and network use

The iPhone and iPad app includes its lessons and activities and does not upload progress. The website and installed web app connect to the LapFoundry website to download the app and updates. They do not send your progress or Completion Record.

The website, privacy page, and support page are hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network requests to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser or device information, requested page, and request time. Hosting request information is separate from the progress saved inside LapFoundry. Cloudflare may provide the site operator with traffic and security information through its dashboard. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for its data-handling practices.

The website does not require sign-in. Anyone with its address can open or share it. The app can keep a downloaded copy on your device for offline play; taking the website offline does not remove that copy or your saved progress. Clearing this website's data removes both, so save a backup code first if you want to keep your progress.

Device features and support email

On an iPhone or iPad, LapFoundry uses standard app components to save progress, pause safely when you leave the app, and provide optional vibration feedback. These components do not add analytics or advertising. If you choose the support email link, your device opens its mail app. If you send a message, the developer receives the email address, message, and any attachments you provide and uses them to answer your request. Your mail provider also handles the message under its own privacy terms. Do not send a backup code.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the revised policy will ship with the app and be posted at the same public policy URL.
